VIDA has adoption programs with the
following countries;
Europe
Bulgaria
- VIDA
initiated our first program
with Bulgaria over 10 years ago. Children placed through this program
are over the age of one year at time of assignment. Families
with no children are preferred.
Asia
Taiwan
- Taiwan is a unique program. VIDA and Gladney are working together to
identify families for infants, toddlers and older age children as well
as children with special needs. Please complete the background
information form, the Taiwan application, and one photo of you and your
family.
China
- The China
foreign adoption program is
well coordinated. It is a model foreign service program for the United
States and many other countries.
Japan
- This program
prefers that one adoptive
parent be of Japanese heritage. However, families not meeting this
criteria may be considered for children of mixed Japanese heritage
Philippines
- Children
available from the
Philippines are, generally, one year of age and older. Families are
encouraged to consider healthy male infants
